Cway saves us a huge amount of time in the review process. Everyone — production, quality, even the supplier — is in the same place, seeing the same thing. It’s clear what’s been approved, who checked it, and when. There’s less back-and-forth, fewer mistakes, and way fewer errors slipping through.

The Challenge

Santa Maria embarked on a strategic redesign of their spice product line, involving more than 600 artworks across multiple markets. The goal was to implement a unified packaging architecture aligned with the brand agency’s master design, ensuring consistency across regions and product categories. This ambitious rollout required careful coordination across teams, support in selecting appropriate printers, and the management of complex workflows spanning planning, implementation, proofing, and print production.

The Solution

To address these challenges, the project was managed end-to-end using Cway®, which served as the operational backbone throughout the rollout. Cway® enabled a structured and scalable design process across markets by streamlining workflow coordination, content versioning, and communication with print partners.

With Collabra managing execution and Cway®’s integrated platform providing the backbone, the project was able to manage such a high volume of artworks efficiently. By enabling dynamic scheduling, centralized asset control, and real-time feedback loops, Cway® reduced manual bottlenecks and improved production clarity.

The Results

With Cway® as the central platform, the project achieved impressive operational efficiency. Average revisions per artwork were reduced to just 1.5, even with late changes to on-pack volume declarations. The combination of agile project methodology and Cway®’s real-time visibility ensured teams could anticipate issues, adapt to changes, and stay on track without compromising quality or timing.

Key Success Factors:

  • Centralized Content Management – All assets, briefs, and updates were managed within Cway®, ensuring traceability and version control.
  • Automated Workflows – Task sequencing and approval loops were streamlined to minimize lead times and manual coordination.
  • Printer Collaboration – Cway® facilitated smooth communication with external print partners, enhancing alignment and reducing last-minute errors.
  • Real-Time Visibility – Stakeholders had access to up-to-date progress dashboards, enabling quick decision-making and reduced lag.
  • Agile Readiness – Built-in flexibility allowed for late-stage volume updates without disrupting the schedule.
